Juan's Top Spring Fashion tips...

Although winter is still in full effect, here at 28on27 we’re already
reminiscing about sunshine, bright colors, bikinis, and open-toed shoes.
Our Events and Studio Manager, Juan, is a connoisseur for all things fashion-related. And he’s especially excited for the 2013 spring and summer season.

He has perused and probed multiple fashion magazines and websites to
provide us with his favorite up-and-coming trends. It’s time to get in
the gym and get ready, because spring will be here before we know it.
It’s a good thing too; we’re gettingpretty bored with the brown-boot
craze…

Here are Juan’s top picks for 2013:

Sunglasses: The bigger, the bolder, the better! This
season, sunglasses aren’t just for blocking out the sun—they’re for
attracting as much attention as possible. Diamond bedazzled, flower
adorned, and pearl embellished frames will rock streets across the
world. The crazier the frame, the hotter the trend. If you can’t handle
all that attention, Juan recommends picking frames with at least a little color. Remember, this season, less is not more.

Shoes: Lately, we’ve
cherished the 80’s like they’re never coming back. But the fashion world has
thought otherwise. Move over 80’s, because the 90’s are taking over. Leave the
platforms and the chunky heels in the closet—The 90’s are about exposing the
posh, sleek, ultra-feminine in all of us. Shoes are no exception. Expect killer
sky-high stilettos and gladiator-inspired heels. Prepare those toes; you’re
going to need more pedicures and massages than ever.
Clothes: Who said
April showers bring May flowers? This season, we’re embracing the
inner-criminal in all of us. As seen in every major runway, the jailbird is
back. Models on numerous runways have flaunted both horizontal and vertical black
and white stripes. However, pick your outfit carefully. The jailbird trend won’t
work at kids’ sporting events—you don’t want to be mistaken for the referee. Regardless
of how your wear them, the inmate-inspired look works on men, children, and
pets.
Lace, window dresses, box tops, and ruffles are also
expected to be a huge hit this spring and summer season. Don’t let the cold
deter you—Juan encourages you to get out and go shopping now!
