Fashion Week has come and gone and the Oscars have all been handed
out…so what’s next for NYC? The SoHo International Film Festival! The
SoHo Film Fest celebrates new and upcoming filmmakers from around the
world. From April 5-12, 2013 at the Sunshine Cinema. The SoHo
International Film Festival will show various documentaries, short
films, and feature films from professional and amateur filmmakers.
“This is my 4th year running the festival,” Founder and Creator Jorge
Ballos told 28on27. “The SoHo International Film Festival celebrates
cutting edge digital technology, honors traditional forms of
storytelling, and encourages filmmakers from around the world to create
fresh and innovative cinematic pieces.”

The
SoHo International Film Festival will accept films in every genre, on any
topic, from any country in the world. Each year, the festival features
innovative and thought-provoking pieces. They also prefer to showcase the
newest and the latest digital technology, too.
So what led Ballos to create and found the SoHo
International Film Festival? “I’m an actor,” Ballos said. “I love watching
movies.” Ballos also owns a modeling and talent agency.
